Remember when you were 15? Can you recall some of the dreams you had then? How many have you accomplished?

My reflection on that is what attracted me so strongly to the story of John Goddard, of whom the LA Times called, “The real life Indiana Jones,” and one of his expeditions, “the most amazing adventure of this generation.

”

When he was 15, Goddard was inspired to create a list of 127 ?life goals? (he called it ?My Life List?). By his last count, the young seventy-something has accomplished 111 of these PLUS 400 others he set along the way!!

Here?s just a few of the ones he?s reached:

He?s climbed many of the world?s major peaks including the Matterhorn, Ararat, Kilimanjaro, Fiji, Rainier and the Grand Tetons.

He followed Marco Polo?s route through all of the Middle East, Asia and China.

He?s run a mile in five minutes, broad jumped 15 feet, high jumped five feet and performed 200 sit-ups and 20 pull-ups.

He was the first person to explore the 4200-mile length of the world’s longest river, the Nile. (It was the number one goal of the 15-year-old Goddard and the one the Times called ?the most amazing adventure of this generation.?). He has also been down the Amazon, Congo and others.

John has been to 122 countries, lived with 260 different tribal groups, explored the underwater reefs of Florida, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the Red Sea, and more.

He has flown 40 different types of aircraft and still holds civilian air records; has read the Bible cover to cover and learned to speak French, Spanish and Arabic.

The last two on his original list included marrying and having children (he has six) and living to see the 21st Century, which he has done in style.

And I?m just getting started. But I think you get the point.

More than just one of the greatest adventurers the world has ever known, Goddard is an incredibly wise person, as this quote of his demonstrates: “If you really know what you want out of life, it’s amazing how opportunities will come to enable you to carry them out.”

How did John Goddard manage to live such an incredible life of achievement? Two simple, easily duplicatable ?secrets:? He chose BIG dreams and he WROTE THEM DOWN.

There?s no power at all in small dreams. When the dream isn?t big enough, it?s too easy to give in to the obstacles that appear in our life. It?s very difficult to maintain the persistence that all great achievement requires when the dream is small or ordinary.

Harland Sanders was 65-years-old, with little more than a $105 Social Security payment in his pocket, when he started Kentucky Fried Chicken. He is said to have been rejected by over 1,000 banks before he became successful. If he hadn?t had a big dream his self-esteem could never have withstood such rejection.

One of the biggest dreamers in the world is Mark Victor Hansen. Working with his partner, Jack Canfield, their idea was rejected by 140 book publishers as ?unsellable.? Today, their Chicken Soup series includes more than 70 titles that have sold more than 90 million copies in 39 languages. Mark says, ?The more goals you set - the more goals you get. Think big, act big and set out to accomplish big results. ?

Not only must your dreaming and goal setting be big, but it must be in writing. Brian Tracy says that this act alone increases your odds of success by 1000%! Like many people, I?d heard that I should write my goals down, but like most people, I rarely did. Looking at Brian?s formula another way, the failure to write your goals and dreams down means that you?ve got less than a 1-in-10 chance of succeeding. Can it be any wonder then that most people don?t live their dreams?

Who knows where your life can go after it is driven by life goals. You may find yourself landing on the moon someday, which happens to be one of the few original dreams that John Goddard hasn?t realized.

Whatever you dreams may be, when you’re doing your goal setting, make them BIG and WRITE THEM DOWN! Don?t be like the chap in this poem that Napoleon Hill included in the original edition of Think and Grow Rich:

“I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial?s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid.”

The world wide web is full of articles and stories on how to seduce women (and men). Often you would come across various products that will make women crazy about you, or vendors who would like to sell their books that repeat same things over and over again.

But are women (or men) that difficult? First impressions are the impressions that last a long time, sometimes, even a lifetime. However, first impressions have little to do with how you talk or how much bank balance you have. Rather, they are completely based on how you look, and more importantly, how you smell. You can’t change your looks, but you can groom them to be the most seductive person in the room!

Steps for Proper Hygiene

Rise up early in the morning and breathe the fresh air.

Brush your teeth, complete your toilet and before the sun rises go for a 10 minute jog.

Bathe daily if possible or atleast take a shower.

Oil your body every 2 to 3 days. Best way is to get a massage.

Use soap every three days unless you get really dirty.

Shave regularly. If you have a moustache or a beard, trim it every 4-5 days.

Shave of your pubic hair and armpits every 5-10 days.

Apply parfumes/deodrants on a regular basis to mask the smell of sweat.

And that is all you ever need to do to look groomed and good! After that, even if you are in torn jeans and dirty t-shirt, you will look appealing! Now lets take a look at the why these steps are important.

1. Rise up early in the morning and breathe fresh air.

After a good nights sleep the body is ready to secrete its unwanted juices. Fresh air will help you expand your lungs and get rid of the nagging bad breath that most people have. You must have noticed a plethora of boutiques selling oxygenated products for rejuvenating your skin. Guess what time of the day there is maximum oxygen in the air? Yup, it is the morning. Five minutes of heavy breathing early in the morning with render your skin pure and refresh you completely. Thereupon, you will feel fresh and energetic through out the day.

2. 10 minute jog

After completing the neccessary actions of every morning, which must be completed in the morning or you would have indigestion and bad breath to haunt you all day! You are now ready to go for a jog. The idea is not to tire yourself. Just to sweat a bit and expand your lungs. The more you sweat early morning, the more impurities are thrown out of your blood and skin. The result, no acnes or skin diseases, good breathing, continued energy throughout the day and most importantly, a red glow on your face that would last until late in the night!

3. Bathe/Shower daily

While the sweat has its advantages, it has its disadvantages too. Namely, it smells sweaty! (Mind you, if you follow this regime regularly your sweat won’t smell bad!) After your morning jog is the best time to take a hot/cold shower, or if you have time, a nice hot bath. Because the pores of your skin have been opened thanks to the sweat and early morning air, even water would wash your skin beautifully!

4. Get a massage every 2-3 days.

No body likes a dry skin, or for that matter oily skin. But believe it or not, the best way of making your skin like a 2 year old baby is regular massages with oil. Not with those fancy creams! Use a light oil like olive oil, or a parfumed oil. Just make sure that whatever product you use in completely natural. Then give yourself a good long massage, allowing the oil to penentrate your skin. The result? Soft and silky skin, a lingering parfume coming from inside your body that is a huge turn on for both men and women. And additionaly, a radiant glow of a wel exercised skin.

5. Use soap twice or thrice a week

If you follow the regime you won’t need to use soap more often, unless you get really dirty. Soap leads to dry skin. Additionaly, it leaves a ligering odeur. This odeur, inspite of all the advertising, is not your natural odeur. The correct time of using the soap is in the evening when you have no date. Ofcourse soap has loads of benefits too(disinfectan and cleansing), therefore you should never go too long without it.

6. Shave/trim regularly

How regularly depends upon what look suits you. Still you should shave atleast once every 2-3 days if not daily. And don’t forget a nice after shave to go along with it. A good shave in the morning will get you up and running like nothing else!

7. Shaving your pubic hair/armpits.

The armpits question is quite clear. Hair in your armpits are probably the most unhygienic part of your body. The sweat, instead of flowing, rests in these hair and can lead to infection. Most certainly, it would lead to bad smell. So unless you like smelling like a rotten egg, shave the buggers! But how does shaving your pubic hair effect you? One, your genitals would look bigger and better without a huge dread lock of hair. Specially for men. Women may choose to trim their pubic hair instead of shaving them, depending upon how they like it. Two, just like the armits, your groin sweats a lot. Thus leading to bad smell unless your pubic is trimmed/shaved. Three, it has a moral boosting effect. Just try it and you will see!

8. Using Perfumes

Your body, by now, would be emitting sensual waves to anyone who comes in close contact with you. Then why the perfumes? Quite simply because they smell good and give you a personality. You must take good care while choosing a perfume. It should go with your natural odeur, and yet be distinctive. Perfumes are a personality trademark! However, use it in little quantities. Just enough so that a person coming in close contact with you gets a whiff. Mixed with your natural smell it can be quite a turn on!.

3. Set boundaries - you don’t have to attend every meetings you are invited to or sign up for every project. Choose the meetings you can add value to or benefit from.

4. Manage your stress - identify what causes you stress and how it affects you.

5. Take time out - close your door (if you have one), call forward your phone, turn off your e-mail, take a walk. Use this time “during your work day” to prepare for a big meeting, a presentation or work on a project.

6. Delegate - are you spending too much time on the administrative process of your job and not utilizing your skills to benefit your long-term goals and your company’s goals?

7. Work/Play Balance - what did you enjoy doing during the summer that you want to continue (going to the movies, playing tennis, volunteering, spending time with your kids, seeing friends, etc.)? Put it on your schedule.

In 1420, the dignitaries of Florence held a competition.

They offered the enormous prize of 200 gold florins to the architect whose genius could span the unfinished dome of the Florence Cathedral.

This was a great challenge. Even the original builders of the cathedral in 1296 left writings hoping that God would offer a solution because they did not have one.

Filippo Brunelleschi was the answer to their prayers.

He proposed the radical idea of a dome supported by a brick vaulting system that balanced the opposing forces, but without the customary central supports.

The experts called him mad.

Brunelleschi sought to demonstrate his design with a challenge.

He could stand an egg upright on a flat surface. Could they?

All were unsuccessful.

Finally, Brunelleschi cracked the bottom of the egg and set it down.

It must have been a mess, but it stood upright and demonstrated his idea.

The experts protested, but Brunelleschi remarked that they could have done the same if they had understood his design.

Of course, they did not. They didn?t understand creativity either.

They were too mentally confined by their concept of the possible. Figuratively and literally, the thought of solving the problem by breaking the egg never occurred to them.

One imagines their frustration trying to balance the round egg on the marble tabletop and their groans when Brunelleschi demonstrated the sloppy, but clever solution.

We all have eggs we never think of breaking.

These are the fixed states of mind that we accept without question as ?the way things are.? These states represent the boundaries of our thinking and, therefore, our life experience.

Refuse to be confined by the eggs others never think of breaking.

Geniuses break eggs.

Break your share.

That?s why they make paper towels.

Laws of Attraction are clearly defined. What comes back is a reflection of the energy you are radiating. If negative people are being attracted to you, then be self-assured that you are sending out energy that appeared on their radar screen.

Instead of focusing on not trying to attract them. Be thankful you are.

Okay, you say, that might be pushing it a little. Not really. You see, whatever you are attracting is giving you a clear projection of the energy that you are giving off. Or it could be something that you need to heal first in order to clear your energy. Most times, we could not see how we are radiating without this attraction.

The answer is awareness. The key is seeing it quickly so that their negative energy doesn’t change or shift your energy and pull you down along with it. However, it?s best not to leave until you have a sense of what is showing up. Yet, sometimes, that isn’t possible until hindsight mode.

An excellent example of this occurred to me just this week. A quick background in case you don’t know me — I’m very careful of my energy and have practiced the laws. I am also a master practitioner and move with the laws 24/7 which took years to master. Something I’m very proud of and very aware of.

Well, anyway, moving forward to the illustration.

Eating dinner at my favorite restaurant, sitting there writing after a good meal, just finished a marketing story for one of my syndicated columns. Before leaving I thought I would duck into the ladies room. I was sitting on the john — oops, maybe too much information (TMI) — when I heard this lady talking to me from the other stall. Actually feeling awkward and caught unaware, it took a few minutes before I could really make out what she was saying. By then, I was walking towards the sink to wash my hands. It wasn’t until then did I get the gist of her story, language and negativity. It was a victim story about how the world is out to get her. Let me spare you the details. I know you’ve heard this before and can easily relate to the energy heaviness created in the room.

I smiled and commented about I enjoy coming to the restaurant. She was too much into her story to hear anything but herself. Yet, she wasn’t even hearing herself, I believe. She followed me back to my table and stood over me as I sat down. A few more minutes of this and trying to ignore her and because I was ready to leave anyway, I got up to leave. She walked back to her table and sat. This time I walked to her table and towered over her.

I continued to listen, not getting a word in edge wise for another five minutes or so. I smiled and nodded sideways repeatedly in disagreement. She never paid attention. Finally, I held up my hand in a stop-sign format. This caused a pause. With a deep sigh of thank goodness, I remarked, “I’ve listened to your story and would like to share with you — you are attracting exactly what you don’t want because that is exactly what you want. Everything that has occurred has been what you have asked for. If you want to change what you are attracting, start by seeing and making new choices. This and only this will change what occurs in your life.”

As you suspect, and probably have already experienced yourself, she didn’t even hear the message. She continued right back into her story. My immediate and last comment was, “I hope you have a wonderful life and sometime soon learn to see that you’re choices are what you are attracting.” Not waiting for a response, I quickly turned and left the restaurant.

As I sat in the car, I asked myself, how in the heck did I attract this energy? And in the ladies room of all places? I wasn’t radiating anything negative, was I? The answer from the universe arrived immediately. It directed me towards my story that I wrote. When rereading, my attention was drawn to the number of “don’ts” in the article. They were every other sentence it seemed. Then I turned to other articles I had written at earlier in my notebook. The “don’ts” were many. Embarrassingly many.

Tracing my thoughts to when my energy had changed, I realized that it shifted when I started reading other people?s ezines that I brought along. I saw it as clearly as the sun rising on this morning?s horizon. All the don’ts that people were writing in order to try to sell their products or services. My energy level began to shift with the reading. It continued to spiral into my writing. Their attraction to the negative words moved into my use of negative words. How this and that was hard…finding the target market was hard…and the list went on.

This in turn created me to write in that same tone. My lesson — be fully aware of what I was reading and its influence on my energy and my writing.

As I look back, I see patterns of where this occurred more than once. And as I continue to trace further, I also remember what I was reading.

If it wasn’t for this experience, this negative encounter, I may not have seen this at all. I like to think I would have seen it anyway but in reality, probably not.

Yes, yes, yes. I do wish I had caught it earlier. But let?s not go there, huh. That will zap the energy of this story for sure.

The point is, be glad negative people are being attracted to you. Be aware of their appearance. Ask what is radiating from you that attracted them. Be the fly zapper at a picnic and ask why your light was on that attracted the fly. See any patterns and quickly make any adjustments.

Rest assuredly, that when you are no longer radiating negative energy, you will not attract those negative experiences or people. I promise this to you based on experience.

I also always recommend that you share your experience, through writing, speaking engagements, or just with friends and family. There are three people waiting to listen and learn from the valuable lesson.

Unfortunately, all but the most highly-evolved among us have our less-than-happy moments.

Fortunately, we can do simple things to recapture a happy mood if we find ourselves lacking one.

I found an article that starts, “Everyone wants to be happy, but happiness is more than pasting a smile on your face.”

True, but that is a great start.

Pasting a smile on your face, even if forced, gets the happiness engine started. If you are from the North, a forced smile is like a jump start on a frigid morning.

Even though you are still freezing, you got started.

Another strategy is to force yourself to take a few deep breaths.

Something about our internal hardwiring will not allow us be negative and well-oxygenated at the same time.

A few deep breaths clears the head, relieves tension, and relaxes the posture. After some deep breathing, we hold our bodies in a way more conducive to a happy state of mind.

Another trick is to laugh.

We can do this the sane way or the insane way.

The sane way is to find something to laugh about. In my experience, this is the option most people choose.

This could be as simple as going to a joke website or watching a stand-up show on Comedy Central.

The insane option is the funniest, most self-reliant, and the most private.

We can start laughing for no apparent reason, except to recapture the state of happiness.

I’ve done this and it works. However, for obvious reasons, don’t try this at home, unless you are alone.

However you do it, help happiness along.

It’s closer that you think.

Opportunity is all around us and has many facets, but it?s not always obvious.

It hides behind the same appearance that everyone else sees, but it reveals itself depending on who you are.

Even though everyone sees the same appearance, different people recognize different aspects of opportunity.

What you see depends on the vision with which you start.

Consider a farmer?s field.

Sam Walton had his own vision regarding fields.

The founder of Wal-Mart needed to open stores and lots of them.

His discounting philosophy meant that he needed to drive costs down, cut profit margins to the bone, and generate huge volume.

He did this by seeing opportunity where others saw a field.

Walton flew his own airplane. He would fly low over an area of potential expansion, especially noticing any new subdivisions growing around existing small communities.

When he found a key intersection between a few small towns and in the path of growth, he would land his plane, buy a piece of farmland, and build a new store.

To most people, it looked like a field. To Sam Walton, it looked like a field of opportunity.

But it was a field of opportunity for others as well.

The same land upon which now stands a thriving Wall-Mart looked very different to different people.

It was a farm for the farmer, an thumbnail sketch of economic indicators for the commodity speculator, a microcosm of the local environment for the scientist, a trend indicator for the demographer, a rustic landscape for a photographer, and a source of tax revenue for the county assessor.

The field was the same, but it embodied multiple opportunities.

What makes the difference is your vision.

If you know your vision, you will recognize your opportunities.

Are you looking for a way to improve your accuracy as a psychic? Maybe you’re just thinking it would be kind of cool if you could ‘know’ things before they happen.

Call on the spirits to help you. It’s not important what label you use to wrap your head around the concept - guardian angels, fairies, or spirit guides. You could even call on God, Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, or whomever it is that you think of when you connect to the spirit world. This isn’t the place to debate who or what it is, just call on that force when you want help with tapping into your paranormal gifts. It could be a psychological trick that we’re playing on ourselves by turning to a mysterious spiritual third party to help us with these things or it could be that the spirits are really helping us. Doesn’t really matter does it? Either way, you’ll be amazed at the results.

We all have the ability to connect through telepathy, to see visions clairvoyantly, to channel great works of art from the heavens, and to psychically read each other. Most people don’t believe that they can so they never bother to learn. Some have done it since birth and don’t know life any other way. There’s a decent sized group in the middle that do believe it’s possible, but don’t know how or they just have hit or miss episodes that they have no control over. I was one of those people who since my earliest memories could do some things some times but had no real control over when or how the visions and telepathy and such could be used. I couldn’t summon it at will. It summoned me.

Once I developed a relationship with my spirit friends, everything changed. I requested that they help me in this area among others. Sure enough my accuracy rate improved dramatically. I had been giving psychic readings for some extra cash now and then. I was always worried that I might not be able to tap into the other person’s life and be able to read them correctly. After connecting to my guardian angels, I would simply ask them to tell me what to say. I would literally ask them, “What would you have me say to this person? What is it that they need to hear? Is there anything they need to know?” Then, I’d see visions and describe them or I’d ‘remember’ what it was I was supposed to say. It was like I was remembering a conversation from a previous meeting. The psychic readings had a sense of deja vue about them. I always felt like I’d already been there and had already said whatever it was that I was supposed to say. It became very clear that the angels were more accurate then I was.

One time, a coworker had heard through the grapevine that I was able to give psychic readings. We had recently become friends and so she asked me to read her. As I held her wedding ring, I saw and heard things about her and her relationships within her family. She was tickled with my accuracy rate. She could tell that there was something I was holding back and not telling her. She was right. I had seen something that really upset me and I wanted to protect her from it. I didn’t want it to be true. She pestered me until I told her what I had seen. In the vision, her husband was standing there with the word “infidelity” written across his forehead. I was angry because I knew how devoted she was to him and the idea that he could hurt her like that was more than I could bear. She began to giggle and cheer. She said that despite them both being in their early twenties, that he had been married once before. He had caught his first wife in bed with another man. He had kicked her out and divorced her. He had told my friend that she could get big and fat or bitchy and lazy, but he could never cope with the idea of her cheating on him too. Infidelity wasn’t his crime it was his fear. I learned to not assume what the visions meant in a reading, but to just deliver the message. I was never that accurate before my spirit guides started helping me with the readings.

If you are serious about learning how to see into your own future, ask your guides to show you the way. That’s what they’re here for. You have to find your own form of meditation and prayer that works for you. I recently heard a great definition of the difference between meditation and prayer. Prayer is when you talk to the spirit world about what you need, want, and feel. Meditation is when you listen to the spirit world’s response. Each of us prays and meditates in our own way. Find your method and then ask your guardian angels, the fairies, spirit guides, Jesus, whoever to help you to be able to do psychic readings, or to be able to do healings, or works of art, or whatever else it is that you’re wanting to do. If your request is in your own best interest, doesn’t harm others, and is from a place of love and not ego gratification, then they will help you.

It doesn’t work if you’re just wanting to do it like some sort of a party trick. I personally have never been able to do it when showing off or bragging. They just don’t show up for that kind of stuff. If anything, I think they shut off the power or something. I could always do a little bit even without them, but if I’m being egotistical, they stop me from being able to do any of it at all. So, you’ll want to double check that your motives are worthy of an angel’s help.

Here I am again sitting at my computer, my job is to write about the positive aspects of the Internet. I?d like to think of myself as a bit of a novice philosopher as well as writer.

The other day in poetry class at university my lecturer mentioned a quote from a guy who I had already read and enjoyed, Baruch/Benedictus Spinoza. The quote mentioned was quite a simple one, and in my opinion simplicity is the best form of communication (and everything else for that matter). Spinoza once said, ?Reality is perfection.? I feel this idea is quite a powerful one indeed, in relation to all aspects of life, including the Internet.

Where do you go these days when you want to find out about anything? Church? School? Parents? No, you go to the Internet. The Internet is the collective pool of unconscious, sub consciousness, and conscious ideas, beliefs, knowledge and wisdom of humanity from the past to the present. There has never been such a tool available for us. Of course there is a perfectly imperfect amount of crap out there to sift through as well, but that is intrinsic in this perfectly balanced reality that has always existed.

So, if reality has always been perfect, why is the existence of the Internet anything special? The truth is, it is only as special as anything else in life. Now, you have to ask yourself, ?Is life special?? I think you know the answer to that one?then again there?s that perfect paradoxical balance. Why the Internet then? Well, my younger brother once said, and I don?t know where he pulled this little tidbit of wisdom, ?The only constant in the Universe is that everything is in constant transition.? The Internet exists because of a natural progression in human thinking; it?s an evolution of our collective minds. It is a constructed idea formed through the process of eternal change.

Human beings have a huge history spanning at least half a million years. As well as the magic feeling of love there has always been the balancing emotion of fear. It seems that over time societies go through different stages where one of these feelings dominates and then permeates general actions by the community. At the moment many people would find it hard to disagree with the fact that we are in a period of fear. With war, hatred and segregation prevalent in reality as well as the ?reality? presented by the media news and TV/film, fear is reigning supreme in many of our daily interactions.

This relates to the use of the Internet because it looks as though people are afraid to get on the Web. I used to be afraid for Pete?s sake! To tell you the truth I still have some irrational fears when it comes to researching a paper for school. I often think, ?Will I find the ?right? information?? The answer of course is that there is always a possibility of things going wrong, that?s this perfection of reality. Life would be stale, stagnant and sterile otherwise. The key lies in our belief in this perfection. The Internet has eliminated the need to go to libraries and carry around huge books just to read small sections of each. There is also less need to get to a science library and then sociology, mathematics etc. So much information is now available to people in our own homes.

Whether you are researching seventeenth century philosophers? ways of thinking for personal or professional reasons, or even just looking up information on how to make your own chai tea, or on how to change the oil on your car; the Internet is a source for so many areas of interest it is simply mind boggling. It is truly the most perfect form of reality?s perfection in modern contemporary society. That?s why they call this the Information age right? The only problem has to deal with the perfectly imperfect amount of pornography that constitutes more than half of all websites on the Web. What does this say about our current moral disposition in our changing perception?s construct of reality? I?ll leave you with that one to ponder?

So, you?ve decided to go into business for yourself to capture your part of the ?American Dream?. Now that that?s all settled where the heck do we go from here?

Many people wake up each day because an alarm clock is beckoning them to their same old day in day out J-O-B (Just over Broke).

They work the same hours, are in debt past their eyeballs, and all appear to have that ?deer in headlights? look.

The real tragedy is that these average people, you, and me, your neighbor, can have so much more but settle for so much less. Somewhere along the line, we lost our vision; we lost our hope and settled for the cards life was dealing us. Wait a minute! Who says so?

The only thing that stands in the away of your achieving the American Dream is YOU!

Think about that for a minute because it?s a powerful statement. Who is harder on you than you? When you stumble and fall, who will be there to pick you up? It had better be you because if you can?t depend upon yourself, you?re in BIG trouble.

Many people I?ve known have worked the same jobs for 40 years, retired and then died within the first 5 years of retirement. Pretty bleak future isn?t it? There?s got be more than this in life so don?t let opportunities pass you buy. As children, we all had fantasies, we had ideas, and we had VISION! What chased them out of you?

I ask you, why work for someone else, making them rich, or have a boss who?s literally making you ill because he?s a manager wanna be that doesn?t realize being a dictator is no longer acceptable, or have someone else take credit for your ideas because they lack the vision to have their own ? why do it?

It has never been easier than right now to start your own business but like anything else you need to think it through. What kind of business do you want? Where are your customers going to come from, how about customer service issues ? are you ready to deal with people as the owner of a company? Don?t fall into the old trap of saying ?I?m not going to be anything like my boss or the company I work for? This is like saying you?re not going to be anything like your parents and then one day you realize that silently you did!

Define your vision. Let me say that again ? DEFINE your VISION. Everyone?s got a dream, what?s yours? You are now asking yourself the prime number one question in life ? What do you want to be when you grow up? Personally, I don?t like Oysters but, why not make the world yours? You will only be limited by your imagination.

Let?s get serious for a moment.  Now that you?ve defined your vision, write it down and expand upon it by considering the following;

Why do you want to go into business for yourself?

Do you have or can you get a sustainable customer base?

What are your start up costs going to be? *While relatively cheap to start up, all costs need to be considered.

Mentally, how we doing? Owning your own Company versus working for someone else is the difference between night and day and so are some of the people you will be dealing with. We will touch on this further.

Have you listed what you see your strong points as being? Your weak points?

Are you prepared to step out of your ?comfort? zone to make this work?

My friends, the list is endless but you get the idea. Earlier, I alluded to how you?re doing mentally and now I would like to amplify that statement. Regardless of how well you?re equipped, no one can do it all. There are literally thousands of books to help you understand ecommerce, owning your own business, self help and improvement and the list goes on and on.

Essentially what I?m asking is for you to think about what you intend to do for you. The very thought of that sends some people into a panic because they?ve never given it much thought before. If you don?t find a diversion outside of your office environment you?ll grow stiff and those creative juices we?re trying to supercharge will just fizzle and your business along with it.

What do you like to do for fun? Take a walk, ride a bike, see friends ? DO NOT cut yourself off from the world! For me, I perform Tai Chi and believe you me, it helps!

Afterwards, I feel refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to take on the world once again but more importantly it preserves my VISION!

The worst thing you can do is to loose your identity in your business. Keep it you but keep it separate. Remember, we?re looking to fulfill a dream and create a lifestyle for ourselves free of the burdens we?re so desperately moving away from.
